We are not a big brand but an independent one. Yet, we believe in the power of our small community to make a difference in the world. While we strive to maintain a positive outlook, the injustices occurring around us are impossible to ignore. There is a growing need for voices, however small, to join together in the fight for equity and justice. At Moanne, we see it as our responsibility to contribute to this collective effort.
Moanne is committed to supporting fair causes that drive change. We pledge to donate 1% of our profits to activist organizations that are making a positive impact. Each season, we select a different organization, ensuring our contributions reach a diverse array of causes. We announce each organization and its mission on our social media accounts and in our newsletter, providing transparency about where the donations are directed.
Our approach to activism is rooted in the belief that every act of support counts. We understand that grand gestures are not the only way to make a significant impact. Often, it is the consistent, smaller contributions that build the foundation for lasting change. By choosing to support a variety of organizations over time, we aim to touch multiple facets of social, environmental, and economic justice.
We welcome collaborations with new organizations. If you wish to present your project, we invite you to reach out to us. This openness to partnership reflects our belief in the strength of collective action. We are inspired by the idea that many small efforts, when united, can drive profound transformations. We also encourage other companies to join this solidarity movement. Even small contributions can lead to significant change when combined with the efforts of others.
Our commitment goes beyond financial support. The Most Beautiful Chair
A Partnership for Change.
At Moanne, we make chairs. For the past decade, our focus has been on designing pieces that elevate spaces and enrich lives. We believe in the transformative power of design, but there’s one chair that holds even greater significance than any other—the WC.
The toilet is something many of us take for granted, a fixture in our homes that we rarely stop to appreciate. But imagine for a moment life without it. The reality is shocking: 3.5 billion people, or 2 out of every 5 individuals worldwide, lack access to a safe toilet. This crisis leads to more than 1 million deaths each year from water, sanitation, and hygiene-related diseases.
That’s why we’ve chosen to launch our activism efforts by partnering with Water.org, an international nonprofit organization founded by Gary White and Matt Damon. Water.org has positively transformed millions of lives by providing access to safe water and sanitation.
